Daycare Options

Providing your pup with daily enrichment while expanding their knowledge is our primary goal in Dayschool.  This is a popular choice for owners searching for something a little more than traditional doggie daycare.  Our Dayschool program offers up to 12 hours of socialization and training sessions practiced throughout your dog's day!  We practice the Five Core Cues of Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and Place while remediating vice behaviors such as jumping up on guests, door bolting, loose leash walking, and more.

Traditional doggie daycare programs pride themselves on high-volume group play scenarios that often flood and cause overwhelm. With so many dogs (sometimes 10-20 in one yard) your dog is given very little space to safely regulate their frequent need for peace and quiet. Groups are often supervised by staff that have a limited scope of experience in recognizing the body language that immediately precedes the fall-out of sensory overload.

This can result in stress and burnout due to unregulated play behaviors and a lack of adequate resting periods throughout their stay.  We keep a maximum of 6 dogs per day.  This affords each dog more than adequate space that is kept safe and sacred to them. This is what provides them the ability to comfortably regulate their adrenaline and settle the cortisol that naturally builds in their bodies when away from home.  Being that dogs need an average 12 hours of rest per day (longer for puppies!) we also incorporate more frequent napping periods to supplement their at-home sleeping schedule.
